Government of India , Ministry of Communications & Information Technology , Department of Posts  Recruitment Division has been launched the notification at Dak Bhawan , Sansad Marg , New Delhi on 21st February 2014 for Direct Recruitment of Postal Assistants , Sorting Assistants for the year 2013-2014 in 22 postal Circles in the Country . EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : 10+2 or 12th Standards pass from the recognized university or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education .
EXAM PATTERN : Candidates write the exam Paper I and Paper II
PAPER I :-  It is Aptitude Test  with a total of 100 Marks . It contains Parts ( Part A , B , C & D ) 
Part A - 25 Questions - General Knowledge 
Part B - 25 Questions - Mathematics of Matriculation standard
Part C - 25 Questions - English covering Grammar 
Part D - 25 Questions - Reasoning and analytical Ability
PAPER II : -  It is Computer / Typing Test : Duration 30 minutes - 15 minutes Typing + 15 minutes Data Entry - Candidates type the One Passage of 450 Words in English or 375 Words in Hindi . Typing Speed will 30 words per minute . Typing with Computer key board only . 

Application for Cost : Rs.100/- for Registration of all category candidates .
Examination fee : General Male candidates and OBC category should pay the fee Rs.400/- . SC/ST / PH / Women candidates are exempted from payment of Examination fee . Fee payment with the fee payment challan which will be downloaded from the website .
